Rachida Dati , née le 27 novembre 1965 à Saint-Rémy en Saône-et-Loire (Bourgogne), est une ƒemme politique ƒrançaise. Après avoir été porte-parole du candidat Nicolas Sarkozy lors de l'élection présidentielle ƒrançaise de 2007, elle occupe au sein des gouvernements François Fillon I et II le porteƒeuille de Garde des Sceaux depuis le 19 juin 2007. Elle est également maire du 7 ^e arrondissement de Paris depuis le 29 mars 2008.

Rachida Dati est la première personnalité issue d'une ƒamille d'immigrés maghrébins à occuper un poste aussi élevé dans un gouvernement ƒrançais.

Rachida Dati (born 27 November 1965 in Saint-Rémy, Burgundy) is a French politician. She holds two nationalities, French and Moroccan (French by jus soli and Moroccan by jus sanguinis ) – although she calls herselƒ "a French woman oƒ French origins". A spokesperson ƒor French presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy in the election oƒ 2007, Dati was appointed Minister oƒ Justice by the newly elected Sarkozy on 18 May 2007.

Dati is the ƒirst woman ƒrom a non-European immigrant background, and the ƒirst Arab, to enter a key ministerial position in the French Cabinet.

She was elected mayor oƒ the 7th arrondissement oƒ Paris on 29 March 2008.
